Clare English Language School was established in 1996.  We are located in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.  All our courses combine:

  • Stimulating English lessons

  • Action-packed Excursion Programme

  • Creative Artistic Workshops

  • Friendly, Caring Host Families

Students learn…

            They are enriched...

                       They enjoy themselves…

They have an experience they will remember for the rest of their lives.

Look at what we offer…

               Compare it to other courses…

You will find we give substantially more.

Please note:  We do not use agents and we do not take bookings of groups.  Most of our students register because CELS has been recommended by a past student or their English teacher.  We continually try to improve the quality of our courses and in this way attract further students.

ENGLISH TEACHER COURSES

1-WEEK REFRESHER COURSES

Dates:

9 October - 16 October 2010
16 October – 23 October 2010

There are moments in your life as a teacher when you think: “It's time for a brush-up.” You are always giving to your students; now it is time to receive. Open yourself to new ideas! Allow a fresh wind to blow through your lessons! Where better to do it than in beautiful County Clare, by immersing oneself in the language and getting advice from an expert Waldorf teacher born in America, but who has lived and taught in England for years and has now settled in Ireland – this is what I can warmly recommend to my colleagues.

I came home with a bagful of ideas and materials, fond memories and a longing for more: Ireland is strictly addictive!

IRELAND AND ITS PEOPLE

IRELAND is a land famous for its natural scenic beauty, green fields and clean environment. It has a special quality that continues to attract and fascinate all who visit it. The warmth and friendliness of the Irish people is renowned, which is ideal for students wishing to improve their English speaking.

COUNTY CLARE IN THE WEST OF IRELAND

COUNTY CLARE is famous for its friendly people, its traditional music, the Cliffs of Moher and The Burren. It is a wonderful experience to walk along Clare's rocky coast-line with the waves of the Atlantic Ocean pounding on the shore, looking out to the Aran Islands eight miles off-shore and, with luck, a beautiful sunset to finish the day. For some visitors to Clare it is the wonderful landscape that is so extraordinary; for others it is meeting people who love to enjoy life. Everyone agrees there is something special about County Clare! Clare English Language School is spectacularly situated amongst rolling green hills on the western shore of Lough Derg , the largest lake of the River Shannon. See map

THE ENGLISH LESSONS

No matter which course you choose, you can expect English lessons that are taught using modern methods but with the usual care that you would expect from an experienced Waldorf teacher. The lessons are lively, creative and practical. You will experience intensive work on English Grammar as well as the four skills: Speaking, Listening, Writing and Reading . Classes are never greater than thirteen students and every effort is made to meet your individual needs.

ACTIVITIES AND EXCURSIONS
