Terms and Conditions of booking:

Please enrol the student named above for the appropriate course or programme.  A full confirmation of this booking will be made upon receipt of this Booking Form and a non-refundable deposit of 400 Euro by Electronic Bank Transfer. The balance must be paid five weeks prior to the start of the course. After this date, cancellation will result in 10% of the course fee being refunded. A student that requires a special diet will be charged an extra fee as follows: gluten-free: €50; dairy-free: €25. Other special diets may also incur an extra charge. When to arrive and depart from a course Students must arrive and depart on Saturday only. Arriving or departing on other days incurs extra costs. For example: Arrival on Friday before the course: €130 minimum; Arrival on Sunday: €95 minimum; Departure on Sunday after the course: €130 minimum; Departure on Monday after the course: €180 minimum.

Early Departure Flights (before 13:15) require students to get the 2 am bus. Students can sleep on the bus. This is not a problem to us. All Departures should be between 06:30 and 19:00. Departures after 19:00 – 30 Euro extra fee per person Departures after 21:00 – 70 Euro extra fee per person


Where to arrive and depart from a course

Teenage students should arrive and depart from Dublin Airport. If possible, the Arrival Flight to Dublin should arrive before 18:00 to make the 19:00 bus connection. FLIGHTS SHOULD NOT BE BOOKED THAT ARRIVE AFTER 22:00. All students will be met by a CELS Representative for both their arrival and departure flights. This is our Meet & Greet service. Travel between Dublin Airport and Clare (Birdhill) is by public bus. The bus fare is not part of the course fee. Students may also arrive and/or depart from Shannon Airport but there is an extra fee for the transfer of €60 per trip. Full details are on our “Travelling to Clare” web page.

Travel Details can be sent at a later time. Do not book flights until a place on a course is confirmed. Students under 16 from Spain must carry an authorization letter issued by the Spanish police before they will be allowed to travel. I understand that Clare English Language School (CELS) reserves the right to send a teenage student home in the case of serious illness/injury or because of serious discipline problems. In such cases any additional return fares will be paid by the parent(s) of the student.

If a student needs to see a doctor, the expenses, including any transport, will be paid by the parent(s) of student. Travel expenses for doctor visit: €25 minimum; Travel expenses for a visit to hospital: €60 minimum CELS can provide support to a hospitalised student for 60 hours. After that, the parent(s) of the student must provide support or pay an additional €150 per day. The parent(s) of students are responsible for paying for any damage to property, items, furniture, etc. that a student causes.

1. Responsibility

Whilst Clare English Language School (CELS) will take all reasonable precautions to ensure the safety and well-being of students, neither the school nor Host Families can accept legal responsibility for any accident, illness, theft or loss of students’ personal effects. Students are strongly advised to take out comprehensive personal insurance before coming to Ireland. CELS complies with health and safety legislation in Ireland.

2. Excursion Programme

The inclusive programme of excursions, visits & sports are carefully organised by the school and are supervised by school staff. The programme may include coach travel, boat trips and sport, such as volleyball, swimming, badminton, basketball, football, tennis, ten-pin bowling, roller skating and pitch and putt golf. The programme may also include adventure sports including hill walking, surfing, body-boarding, rock climbing, caving, kayaking, canoeing, high ropes, archery, sailing and wind-surfing. Parents/guardians should indicate on the Booking Form if there are any sports/activities they do not authorise their child to participate in.

3. Un-supervised activities

Students on the CELS 3-Week Summer Course are supervised during much of the day and evening, but there are times that they will be un-supervised such as walking to and from the school coach; walking to and from Host Families; walking in Ennis, Limerick, Galway and Dublin on Shopping trips; walking in Lahinch and at the Cliffs of Moher Visitor Attraction; walking in local towns and villages; and at other unspecified times.

4. Emergencies

I understand that the CELS Director will contact me in case of accident or emergency and that if I am unobtainable, may contact my emergency contact as appropriate. In the event of my child needing urgent medical attention I give permission for emergency first aid by CELS staff and/or medical practitioners.
